Warsaw enjoyed another memorable night of running as the 11th Wizz Air Warsaw Praski Night Half Marathon and Praska 5K Run returned to the streets of the capital. Nearly 18,000 runners registered across the two races, the highest number in the event’s history. A strong elite field and fast courses also produced outstanding performances, including three new course records.
The evening began with the Praska 5K Run, which this year also hosted the Polish Athletics Association Men’s 5K Championships. The race at the front was fast and closely contested from the start.
Marcin Biskup claimed victory in 14:04.2, securing the national title in the process. Kamil Herzyk finished just behind in 14:04.6, while Adam Nowicki completed the podium in 14:07. Biskup’s performance also set a new Praska 5K Run course record, improving on the previous mark of 14:27 set by Aleksander Wiącek in 2023.
The women’s race produced another course record. Agnieszka Chorzępa took the win in 15:55, improving the previous best by one second. Dominika Łukasiewicz finished second in 16:35, with Martyna Wyroślak third in 16:46.
At 8:30 p.m., attention turned to the main event, the 11th Wizz Air Warsaw Praski Night Half Marathon. Over 21.0975 km, the leading athletes delivered another high-quality contest.
